Working Together with Success
Old Boots understands that one of the reasons that the group meetings are so successful in assisting veterans in dealing with OSIs is the group size: not too large/not too small; just right for group discussions and hand crafting. As it evolves, Old Boots expects that in order to maintain optimal group size, satellite groups will need to be formed, and that these groups will need qualified mental health professionals to manage them. Toward that end, Old Boots actively seeks mental health specialists and practitioners (psychologists, social workers, family services staff, etc.) who want to support our veterans, who enjoy challenges, love to learn, and who have a well-developed sense of humour. If this sounds like you, and to see if Old Boots would be a good fit for you, please contact us.
Mesothelioma Treatment
The Public Outreach Department for The Mesothelioma Center is a 100% free resource and service center for sufferers of mesothelioma and their loved ones.
Countless veterans are currently suffering from life-threatening illnesses that are a result of exposure to asbestos, a material that was commonly used in hundreds of military applications, products, and ships because of its resistance to fire. Veterans who have been diagnosed with mesothelioma even qualify for special benefits from the U.S Department of Veteran Affairs.
